So much going on over the next couple of weeks, lots to talk about.
At the Nursery, the newly fledged ‘Too Much Make Up and the Nancy Brothers’ are practising like mad for the 17th, when they shall be performing Irish and other tunes to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. They do their practice sessions usually in the Nursery on a Monday night at the Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club evenings from 8.00 pm.
At the Foggy Furze Folk Club there’s a regular dash of the green most Tuesdays but a lot of our members are busy performing in other clubs on St Patrick’s Day. One club member also performs with Hartlepool Ukulele Group (HUG) who are performing at the Club House on Seaton Carew Caravan Park in Queen Street, Seaton Carew. Tickets £2,50 and profits towards the Hospice. All for a good cause.
And the Headland Folk Club, held in the Duke of Cleveland in Church Walk, Hartlepool, are hosting a St Patrick’s Day-themed evening for your entertainment or even joining in. This is, actually, on St Patrick’s Day, 17 March 2017.
So there’s plenty going on around and about the folk scene these next two weeks. Just get yourself involved. It’s great fun.
