Over at the Nursery Inn, they’re having a grand time on a Monday evening in Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club. Don’t forget they’re preceded by the drum club so you can drum out all of your frustrations and be totally chilled, ready to join in at 8.00 pm each Monday. That’s in Hopps Street, Hartlepool. On 17 March 2017, the Nursery plays host to ‘Too Much Make-Up and the Nancy Boys’, entry is free. Something to look forward to.

In the Causeway in Stranton, the Foggy Furze is having a great time and looking forward to their summer programme for the second year running. Details to come in the next weeks, just to keep you on tenterhooks. In the interim, we entertain ourselves with new tunes and singalongs in full voice.

There’s a great evening planned along at the Headland Folk Club next Friday, 3 March 2017, when they are joined by the lovely Rebekah Findley and Lee Huck. That’s over at the Duke of Cleveland in Church Walk on the headland. Rebekah recently played at the Foggy Furze Folk Club and she was her usual amazing self. Virtuoso violin, folk credentials second to none, this singer/songwriter is worth the money you pay at the door. Don’t forget, that’s next Friday, 3rd.

Catch me on www.foggyfurzefolk.com or at kay@foggyfurzefolk.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

There’s a new band in the Nusery Inn on a Monday, not sure of the name but it’s an all-boy band with cajon, bass, lead guitar and banjo.  Might be worth you popping in for a visit just to check them out, see if you fancy the style.  That’s each Monday in the Nursery Inn, Hopps Street, Hartlepool, TS26 8RA from 8.00 pm.

In the Causeway in Stranton, the Foggy Furze Folk Club are settling into the front room and enjoying the new ambience.  It’s a really lovely room and well worth a visit.  We’re there every Tuesday from 8.00 till late so please pop along, you’re welcome.                 The next meeting of the Headland Folk Club is over at the Duke of Cleveland in Church Walk on the Headland on 17 February 2017.  They’re really having a lot of fun there and you’re missing out if you don’t go.

The FFFC meets every Tuesday in the Causeway, in Stranton from 8.00 and it’s only £1 in for a singaround or £2 on most guest nights.  You can reach me on www.foggyfurzefolk.com or at kay@foggyfurzefolk.com.

It’s a time of restlessness, another club is on the move.  However, the Foggy Furze Folk Club is only moving to the room next door for a spell so it’s still meeting at the Causeway in Stranton, Hartlepool, TS24 7QT, each Tuesday at 8.00 pm.

Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club is meeting each Monday at the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street, Hartlepool, TS26 8RA, with various combinations of personnel and instruments at any one time it’s a constantly different sound.

At the FFFC there’s a mix of styles and delivery, whether it’s a piece of prose from the likes of Marriott Edgar or, this week, some seasonal Robert Burns tunes or, if you can work one out, a tune to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Rooster.  I’m sure there’s a song about that.  And our new room is lovely.  Stylish and spacious with a little room for more visitors.

The Headland Folk Club won’t meet now until next Friday, 3 February 2017, from 8.00 pm over at the Duke of Cleveland in Church Walk on the Headland, TS24 0ND.  Their guest on this evening will be a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Tony Wilson.

The FFFC meets every Tuesday from 8.00 and it’s only £1 in for a singaround or £2 on most guest nights.  You can reach me on www.foggyfurzefolk.com or at kay@foggyfurzefolk.com.
