Kays article and weekly news around

Article, Foggy Furze Folk Club, Friday, 20 November 2015

So, what to talk about? All over town, musicians are starting to seriously get to grips with their Christmas repertoire, determined to give of their best.

Over at the Duke of Cleveland in Church Walk on the headland this evening you can join the Headland Folk Club in their regular fortnightly get together when Paul or Barrie will co-ordinate the evening. Their next club evening after tonight will be 4 December 2015.

And in the Nursery Inn, Hopps Street, Hartlepool, the Pools Folk and Acoustic Club will be pleased to see you on any Monday you choose to visit. They are proud to boast that they are open on any Monday, even a Bank Holiday Monday so that could be worth noting for 28 December 2015 and 4 January 2016. Yorkie will be there to oversee the gathering.

Call in at the Causeway Inn in Stranton any Tuesday and you have the option of enjoying an evening with the members of the Foggy Furze Folk Club. And if you’re in the Causeway on 23 December 2015, there’s to be a carol/Christmas song service to initiate the Yuletide celebrations for the locals.

You’re welcome in any of the clubs, whether it’s just to listen or play or sing. At the Foggy Furze Folk Club, it’s £1 per evening for a singaround and £2 for a guest night. You can contact me on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com or read this article again on www.foggyfurzefolk.com. We start at 8.00 pm each Tuesday and look forward to seeing you.
