Are you ready to party this weekend?  If you look around there’s loads to do, loads of good music to enjoy.
At the Fisherman’s Arms in Southgate on the Headland, they’re having a beer festival over the weekend and you can bet they’re celebrating their newly arrived Cask Marque.  Guaranteed good ales.
And while you’re on the Headland, why not pop into the Duke of Clarence and visit Paul at the Headland Folk Club.  They’re settling into their new premises now and ready to welcome one and all.
Over at the Nursery, in Hopps Street, Hartlepool, they’ll be open this Monday and every Monday for Pools Folk and Acoustic Club and you’re welcome any time to join in or just sit and watch if that’s what you want
And at the Foggy Furze Folk Club, in the Causeway, Stranton, Hartlepool we’ll be here to greet you and will play all night.  The next two sessions are singaround sessions so come along and join in.  No-one’s obliged to sing but you can still enjoy the craic.
Have you got your tickets yet for the Hartlepool Folk Festival?  There’s a phenomenal line up and it’s on the weekend of 16 to 18 October 2015. TICKETS: www.hartlepoolfolkfest.co.uk; 01429 890000.

.On Tuesday evenings you can visit the Causeway Inn in Stranton, play a bit of darts or pool, sit for the artists group or join in with the music group meeting in the guise of the Foggy Furze Folk Club, when Kay will keep things in order and generally keep her flock of singers on track. All held together by the excellent ambience which is the Causeway.

On Monday evenings each week you can get along to the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street and join in with a bit of drumming first thing, followed by the Pools Folk and Acoustic music evening with Yorkie to oversee the organising.

Now that summer’s finally arrived, today would be a great opportunity to go along to the Duke of Cleveland pub in Church Walk on the headland and join the Headland Folk Club in with their fortnightly jamboree which is their gathering. Paul will be there to greet you and help make the proceedings move along

At the FFFC, it’s only £1 on a singaround night or £2 on a guest night but the next guest night isn’t until October now so it’s a £1 for the rest of the summer.

Ever wondered what goes on in a folk club? Why not come along and find out? Whether you want to just listen or join in or perform yourself, you’ll be made welcome. You can keep up with the FFFC goings on at www.foggyfurzefolk.com or chat to me on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com. Come on in, the water’s lovely.
