weekly news and Kays article March 6th 2015

Article, Foggy Furze Folk Club, Friday, 6 March 2015

Are you ready for the sea of green which will signify that it’s St Patrick’s Day?  There’s lots of hooligan music to be played and hurly burly dancing to be done.

Two of the clubs are celebrating together, purely for this one evening, when the Foggy Furze Folk Club and the Pools Folk and Acoustic music club will both be at the Nursery Inn for Tuesday, 17 March 2015 to listen to the Mad Hatters give of their best.  Now, we know the Mad Hatters have been practising since January, different stuff in addition to their usual repertoire to add to the ‘green experience’.  You’ll wish you were from Kerry when you hear them.

Obviously the regular clubs will be on during this next week in the respective venues so get yourselves along to the Nursery Inn, Hopps Street, Hartlepool on Mondays and the Causeway in Stranton, Hartlepool on Tuesdays to fully immerse yourselves in the ‘Irish Season’ in the run-up to Paddy’s Night.

We’re told the next night for the Headland Folk Club will be Friday, 13 February 2015 at the Fishermans’ Arms in Southgate on the Headland, when Paul O’Neil will be happy to MC for the evening.  The next Sunday afternoon session is expect to be 15 March 2015 so get yourselves along for that.
