All the local folkies are getting busy working their way into schedules for Christmas gigs and parties.
At the Foggy Furze Folk Club we’re being entertained by Peter and Beth Aveyard, a father and daughter duo, on Tuesday, 16 December 2014 at the Causeway Inn, Stranton, Hartlepool, TS24 7QT as part of our Christmas celebrations and are looking forward to hearing her lovely voice and his excellent guitar work. Until then, we have weekly singarounds for your folkie pleasure.
At Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club on a Monday in the Nursery Inn, Hopps Street, Hartlepool, their Christmas guests are Blind Stag, a lively fiddle, bass, guitar combo who’ll have your toes tapping all the time they’re on. Tickets on sale now at £2.50. Of course, they have their weekly meetings between then and now for your enjoyment.
The Headland Folk Club next meet at the Fisherman’s Arms on Friday, 28 November 2014 when Paul O’Neill will be waiting to co-ordinate the evening’s singing for you.
The Fisherman’s Arms also hosts a weekly singaround on a Sunday, 2 to 5 pm, also hosted by Paul but it’s more ‘open’ in that all genres are encouraged.
If you want further information regarding any of the above, you can stay in touch using www.foggyfurzefolk,com or, alternatively, get in touch with me on email@example.com. It’ll be good to hear from you. Over at the FFFC it’s £1 on a singaround night and £2 for a guest night.
