Article, Foggy Furze Folk Club, Friday, 10 October 2014

Well, I hope all the Foggy Furze Folkies are recovered from our marathon sing on Tuesday when we got to the Causeway pub in Stranton earlier than usual for our crossover with the Art Club in the room next door. We did our singing and playing and they drew us. All in all I think everyone seemed to have fun. We got a new audience and they got lots of new subjects. Next week we’ve got a lovely singaround and you’re very welcome to join in with us. Only £1 when we don’t have a guest night on.

Over at the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street, Pools Folk and Acoustic Club meet every Monday for acoutic music in any genre you want to play but what’s mostly heard is folk, country, jazz, some modern tracks. A good mix of stuff.

The Fishermans Arms over on the headland are hosting their regular fortnightly singaround this Saturday, 11 October 2014, from approximately 12 noon till 5.00 pm. You’re always welcome.

And the Headland Folk Club is having its next regular fortnightly meeting on 17 October 2014 at the Pot House (Harbour of Refuge).

You can keep up with what’s happening at the FFFC on www.foggyfurzefolk.com or get in touch on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com. Remember it’s only charge £1 entry on a singaround night, or £2 for a guest night. You’ll be welcome
