There’s a new venue and day for a musical singaround – This Saturday, 13 September 2014, 12 to 5 at the Fisherman’s Arms, Southgate, on the headland.  It’s being hosted by Barrie Archer of the Headland Folk Club but it isn’t being listed as a Headland Folk Club session so it’s something a bit new.  All genres welcome.  Note is if it goes ok, could be a settled new session.

Have been advised that the regular Headland Folk Club session is ongoing, next session will be 19 September 2014 when Barrie Archer will be waiting as usual to host the evening in the Pot House (Harbour of Refuge).

Over at the Nursery, every Monday evening, there’s Pools Folk and Acoustic Music Club from 8.30 to late, hosted by Yorkie Gibson.  The Nursery is in Hopps Street, Hartlepool.

The Foggy Furze Folk Club meets each Tuesday at the Causeway in Stranton from 8.00 pm to late.  Next Tuesday, 16 September 2014, we have the pleasure of hosting Trev and Renata, who hail from north of the Tyne.  Two excellent musicians who do really good self-penned stuff, as well as international folk from Renata’s roots.  Only £2, so well worth dipping your toe in the water.

You can keep up with what’s going on by getting onto www.foggyfurzefolk,com or, alternatively, get in touch with me on kay@foggyfurzefolk.com.  It’ll be good to hear from you.  Over at the FFFC it’s £1 on a singaround night and £2 for a guest night.  Go on, get yourself along, it’s the holidays.
