Over at the Pot House this evening, 24 January 2014, there’s a gathering of the Headland Folk Club, where your host is Barrie Archer.
Tomorrow night, 25 January 2014, Skyran appear at the Fishermans Arms to celebrate Burns Night.
On Monday, 27 January 2014 the Nursery Inn at Hopps Street, Hartlepool are celebrating Burns Night with haggis, neeps n tatties – please bring at least one Scottish song.
On Tuesday, 28 January 2014, over at the Foggy Furze Folk Club, held in the Athanaeum Club, Church Street, Hartlepool from 8.00 pm. why not continue the Scottish theme and give the songs you learned for the Fish and the Nursery an extra airing before they go back to bed for a year. The FFFC have a hotspot with Foolsgold Acoustic in February.
Don’t forget there is to be a second Hartlepool Folk Festival this spring. I know the organisers are looking at venues, bands and programmes as you sit reading this article and are working things through for your entertainment in April.
