Still enjoying this lovely sunshine?  Why not mix it up with some live folk music.  This weekend Skyran are playing at the Conservative Club in Saltburn tomorrow evening and a new 7-piece on the scene, The Mad Hatters, are on at the McOrville this very evening.  All live, all fun to join in with.

Over at the Athenaeum in Church Street, Hartlepool, on Tuesday, 13 August 2013, the Foggy Furze Folk Club will play host to Liz n Steve from Saltburn who play a wonderful selection of covers, with Liz’s mellifluous  tones and accompanied by Steve’s agile, experienced guitar playing.  They’re a pleasure to watch and listen to.  Only £2, why not pop in.

Over at the Fishermans’ Arms on the Headland, there’s live music almost every evening and the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street works hard to keep music live.  The Causeway also has live music several nights each week.

If you fancy ranging wider this weekend, there’s a Folk Festival down at Saltburn and then next weekend (17 August to 23 August) there’s folk all over the shop (some 30 venues) down at Whitby.  It’s all going on.

Remember it’s  only charge £1 entry on a singaround night, or £2 for a guest night.  You can keep up with what’s happening or get in touch on www.foggyfurzefolk.com or get in touch on kay.death@yahoo.co.uk .  You’ll be welcome.
