The reputation of our little, local, Foggy Furze Folk club is spreading folks. This week at the Atheneum Club in Church Street, Hartlepool, we had someone from East Kilbride who came along and joined in. It’s a great feeling, this musical fellowship.
Next week we have the planned visit from the Berkley Taverners from Whitley Bay so be sure to get in early for a seat.
There are still regular music nights over at the Fishermans Arms in Southgate, over on the Headland with such a mixture of music that there’s bound to be something to get your foot tapping. And there’s also the attraction of cask ales.
Next Friday, 15 March 2013, is a night to get yourself over to the Pot House on the Headland, where Barrie Archer will be waiting to greet you to help you enjoy your acoustic evening.
At the Nursery Inn in Hopps Street, they’re planning all sorts of celebrations for St Patrick’s night on Sunday 17 March 2013, with a Shopmobility event (the venue is ideal for this) from 3 to 7 and involving a 3-course Irish-themed menu and accompanying appropriate music. Then, in an entirely separate event, from 7.30 onwards, there is a full-on Irish music night for your delectation and delight. Bring your voices. Tickets for both sessions are available from the landlord.
So, have fun over the next two weeks, find something green for the 17th and don’t forget, only £1 for a singaround at the FFFC, £2 on a guest night. You can contact us on www/foggyfurzefolk.com or chat with me on email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you soon.
