New Chairmans first week

What a bumper week we had, Jan began by giving special thanks to Ian De’ath for his contribution last year along with his wife Kay, who as it happens was celebrating her birthday and her table was overflowing with cards, presents and flowers. Ian D however was ill and unable to receive his thanks in person.

Shy talk were the guests and what an excellent beginning they gave to the new joint Chair of Jan Hall and Ian Ferguson, two ex chairman and club founders who have joined forces this year to share the load in what is a great responsibility. Shy Talk,(Ian Young and les Snaith)  were excellent, funny, and gave an outstanding performance which really kicked of the year as our first guests. Rebekah Findley dropped in to enthral us with her songs and violin and guitar playing, she even got up and joined Ian and |Les on some numbers which Ian and Les were delighted about.  It was lovely Rebekah and we hope you become a regular friend of the club.

Next up is a sing around, get yourself down and add to the variety of folk music at the travellers rest in Hartlepool every Tuesday night .
